Why Kindle

Okay I admit it, I am sort of a geek.

When I got my first kindle [a present for my daughter], it was love at first sight. Because you can change the size of the type, create electronic bookmarks. [Somehow, I always felt guilty about folding the corner of the page over]

Several months later I discovered how to add notes to sentences/paragraphs (never read the instruction unless all else fails)…This is sort of like writing in the margins of your book, except you have unlimited space. In the best of all it’s like writing with a pencil because, you can erase it. You can also share your bookmarks and notes.

Amazingly, that was only the tip of the iceberg. Here’s a few more things to help you discover why the Kindle is so popular.

My Personal Favorite

Is the fact that you can download a free viewer, for your desktop, your smart phone, which will instantly turn each of them into a Kindle? In particular, the desktop viewer creates a giant kindle. [If you're over 40 you will like that a lot]

Get Your Free Readers here Home, phone, tablet etc.

Oh yes you know that TV ad with a guy walks from one room to the other continues watching the same show?

Well your Kindle’s sinks automatically you can read part of the book on your computer screen at work, continue on while you’re waiting in the doctor’s office, and maybe after dinner read a chapter at two on your home computer.

Just hit the menu button and choose sync to the furthest this page read

If you already have a Kindle, there some detailed tips and tricks on how to unlock its hidden secrets.

Viewing Popular Highlights

Amazon displays Popular Highlights by combining the highlights of all Kindle customers and identifying the passages with the most highlights.

The resulting Popular Highlights help readers focus on passages that are meaningful to the greatest number of people. Some books don’t have enough highlighting in them to have Popular Highlights.

Popular Highlights are marked with a gray dashed underline. The number of people who have highlighted the text appears at the beginning of the marked text. You can see Popular Highlights for all books that have them
Scroll Down

Adding Notes

Public Notes

Public Notes allow you to connect with fellow readers by seeing what passages they found meaningful in books you are both reading.

You can search for and follow other readers Who have shared there book marks for all books that have them Scrool Down.
